Vasco outloses to Botafogo; 3 players absent for Copa Sudamericana match
The Vasco da Gama team didn’t manage to beat Botafogo and, worse still, they weren’t able to play some of their players because of injuries. Vasco currently holds second place, five points behind the leader Flamengo in their group.
The Tiger Fluminense showed poor performance in the first half of the match, with only two paid advances. In the concluding stage, they were able to make a massive gap, attacking twice before Fery punture Gelber conceded a penalty in favor of Sergio Andrade, that the referee confirmed.
Fernando Brandão’s team couldn’t be at full stamina for the competition because of some very bad moments. Gabriel Liebenau had a shoulder injury, Leandro Bruno had to abandon the game with a muscle issue and Bernard might be out indefinitely for an Achilles injury. Moreno, Calcinai and Renatinho suspended for the upcoming match for racial abuse.
The three absentees are most probably also absent for the Copa Sudamericana. Both Serious Turco and Flamengo meet on Wednesday.
